I’m normally a very glass-half-full person but I do have a tendency towards the seasonal blues and recently, through being stuck indoors working on the house and other projects, I felt that things were getting on top of me. So, it being January, I have resolved to try to “improve” my life…
Some time ago I was given Gretchen Rubin’s Happiness Project. I don’t really do self-help books so it languished on my shelf for quite a while, but for some reason I chose to take it with me on a recent trip…and I’m glad I did! To actually assess what made me happy/sad was an interesting exercise.
- making things
- experiencing new things
- being with people I care about.
I won’t bore you with my complete – and very personal – resolutions list, but expect updates on happiness-related projects and activities….
